Shirley founded CDL Insight Consulting® (CDL) in 1997 and with more than 25 years’ experience in Management Consulting, Coaching and Facilitation, she leads the Instructional Design, Consulting and Delivery Teams within the company.
Shirley has a degree and post graduate diploma (honours) in Educational Psychology, the study of the instructional process, individual differences in learning and the cognitive and behavioural metrics involved in the application of theory and learning across the entire lifespan.
Through her extensive international career, Shirley has held the role of Vice President Asia Pacific of a global talent management firm based in the US and was also appointed as the International Representative on the company’s Board of Directors. From New Zealand, Shirley is actively involved in the international expansion of CDL’s successful business model.
Shirley’s passion stems from partnering with businesses to ensure they reap the rewards of a resilient workforce, have the internal skills to demonstrate best practice during change and transition, recognise the critical need for strong leadership capability and where professional development, at all levels, is actively supported.
Ensuring market reputation, integrity and brand protection, for both CDL and its client organisations, is a critical aspect to Shirley’s role. She has written, and had published, numerous articles on brand protection, change management and leadership consulting.
Shirley also takes a strong governance role within the three company directorships she holds and is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
