Lawrence is a qualified career management coach and has a strong interest in applying the results of various assessment tools to assist clients in their professional development and to help clarify career direction. He has worked simultaneously in private practice in and also in the TAFE and University sectors.
Client centred and employer informed, Lawrence assists CDL clients to identify key competencies and facilitates active job search, including providing advice regarding the negotiation of terms and conditions when securing a new role.
Lawrence has a strong interest in contributing to the career development of individuals, peers and his industry association – the Career Development Association of Australia.
With a passion for witnessing clients taking charge of their careers (and their lives!), having contributed to their career development, Lawrence appreciates the opportunity to help people grow in personal and professional confidence.
As a Career Coach for both Melbourne University and Monash University, Lawrence was instrumental in providing career coaching for students within the Graduate School of Management and the Graduate School of Business and Economics.
Lawrence also actively supports the Career Development Association of Australia and, has been a member of the organising committee of the CDAA National Conference in Melbourne. Lawrence supports local career development events by providing complementary advice for members of the public.
Lawrence has a Master of Arts Degree in Linguistics from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in Career Counselling from RMIT University. He is also an accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Strong Inventory Assessor. Lawrence also administers and interprets the Jackson Vocational Interests Survey.
