Alex has worked in both corporate career transition and as a change management coach for the last nine years. A previous role was as Field Manager at the Australian College of Applied Psychology to further her knowledge in counselling and psychology and to gain deeper insight into people motivation and personality
Speaking several languages, Alex works closely with people from different backgrounds with empathy and cultural sensitivity. She has worked in all areas of career transition, advising HR teams, delivering talent and change management outcomes as well as supporting and advising people at all levels of seniority who face redundancy.
Prior to HR Consulting, Alex’s career spanned the publishing, pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors in a sales and marketing capacity. A great deal of her career has been in developing start – up companies.
In 1980 she was involved in establishing a publishing company and then changed direction when approached by a small retail supplier, where her skills in marketing, advertising and sales increased the company’s turnover from $750K to $6m in just eight years.
Alex also established a recruitment agency, specialising in the recruitment of sales professionals at all levels, as well as working with executives who were looking for clarity and assistance in setting their own career direction. This led to Alex’s interest in people development and career management.
Alex’s many years of sales and commercial experience, coupled with a deep understanding of HR and the recruitment industry, are valuable skills that add to her in depth experience in assisting people at all levels in their career transition.
Alex has a linguistics degree from Warwick University in the UK and is also a Member of the Australian Association of Career Development.
